Humane Society of Charlotte Is Hosting ‘Plates For Paws’ On Tuesday
Helping local animal shelters and rescue organizations is something I try to do as much as I can. If I have a bit of extra money, I’ll ship some bags of food to the shelter in Gastonia from Amazon. Usually, it’s only 3 or 4 bags, but it helps. Recently I cleaned out my sheets and blankets and are giving them and two crates to the rescue organization that I adopted Eddy from. So many places need things like treats, peanut butter, food and old blankets and towels. This week the Humane Society of Charlotte is partnering with local restaurants to help raise funds, and you can help in an easy way!
According to WCCB, the Humane Society is hosting ‘Plates For Paws’ this Tuesday, September 12. Participating restaurants, bakeries, and breweries are pledging to donate up to 25% of their profits on Tuesday to support the Humane Society and its programs. The annual event raises money to support the adoption process. In addition, the funds will provide financial help to essential care, spay and neuter clinics, educational programs, pet services, and the pet food bank.
Pick A Restaurant And Help
There are numerous businesses that are participating this year, so you can go out for a snack, lunch, dinner, or drinks and help the Humane Society. This is a great way to also check out some places in town that you may not frequent. Enjoy some yummy food and drinks, while helping so many animals in need. There are burger joints, breweries, dessert places, and steakhouses joining in the event.
You can check out the entire list of local establishments that are participating on Tuesday. Every drink, snack, and meal counts, so anything you can do would be awesome! It’s a great reason to get together with some friends and go out! If for whatever reason you can’t hit one of the participating places Tuesday, but you’d still like to help, you can make a donation here. And thank you for whatever you can do!
