Woman Finds Something Unusual Growing Inside Bedroom Of Rental Home
Going “green” is one thing, but this is ridiculous. A woman in Yukon, Oklahoma is getting a lot of attention after calling out a rental home that she and her husband toured and hoped to lease when they noticed something growing inside one of the bedrooms. If you’re suspecting a mold problem, well, that might also be happening. However, in this case it was more unusual than that.
According to KFOR-TV, Alexus Baker spotted what appeared to be weeds growing out of the baseboards in the master bedroom. The vegetation was springing up between the walls and the carpet. “I was just in such disbelief,” said Baker during an interview. Yeah, so are we! The phrase is, “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence,” not inside the house. And as far as I know, vacuum cleaners don’t come with weed-whacking attachments.
After Baker posted photos of the plant life growing in the bedroom, comments on the Nextdoor app exploded and have now garnered her national attention. However, some home building experts are pushing back on the problem, assuring people this is “very common” and has an easy fix. What? Very common? I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life.
The company that owns this particular rental home says all one needs to do is either pull the plants out at the root or pull the carpet back and spray weed killer along the baseboards. You pull it! Apparently, the company took care of the problem but the whole thing was a “deal breaker” for the Bakers. I don’t blame them.
