Amazon Prime Video Drops First Teaser For Agent 007-Themed Reality Show
I’m not much for reality TV shows, but if I were to watch one, it would have to be shaken, not stirred. That’s why this new one from Amazon Prime Video caught my “GoldenEye.” On October 5th (Global James Bond Day), the streaming service dropped the first trailer for its new reality show that is heavily inspired by novelist Ian Fleming’s iconic character, ‘James Bond.’ By the way, Amazon just happens to own MGM and all of the ‘Agent 007’ films.
According to AV Club, the new competition series, 007: Road To A Million, pits nine teams against each other in challenges around the world. Their mission: to win £1,000,000, or about $1.2 million. The reality show looks a lot like CBS’ The Amazing Race. However, in this case, all of the challenges that the contestants take on are ‘James Bond’ themed. You know, stuff like climbing up a ridiculously tall construction crane, walking on top of a moving train, and even driving a classic Aston Martin. That last one I could handle.
Another difference from The Amazing Race is the star of the show. Scottish actor Brian Cox of Succession fame plays the part of “The Controller.” He’s in charge of where teams go next, what they have to do, and even takes time to quiz them. 007: Road To A Million hits Prime on Friday, November 10th. I’m all in. Here’s the first peek at the action-packed new series:
