North Carolina Animal Rescue Having Fundraiser, I’m Helping And You Can Too
Phil and I are both fans of rescuing dogs. His dog Daisy is a rescue, and both Kramer and Eddy are too. My dog Eddy was an extreme case, as she was a feral dog. She was afraid of people when she was rescued by Cliffords-Army Rescue. It took eight months for her to be ok around people. When I met Eddy, I was the first person she was around that wasn’t associated with the rescue group. It took about 10 minutes, and she was mine. Now she’s a confident boss! Cliffords-Army Rescue is holding a fundraiser in November, and you can help.
Deb Hardin, the founder and president of Cliffords-Army Rescue, works tirelessly to save animals. The group often takes in animals that would be given up on otherwise. They do amazing work! When Deb asked me to help out with a fundraiser, I agreed without hesitation. The group is partnering with the national organization Jordan’s Way on Tuesday, November 7th.
This event is to help raise funds so that animals can continue to be rescued and helped with care. Jordan’s Way was founded by Kris Rotonda. His shelter dog was one that was overlooked for over three years, before he adopted her. The two spent 11 years together before Jordan passed away. Rotonda made the decision to make it his life’s mission to honor Jordan’s legacy by helping other overlooked shelter animals. Currently, Jordan’s Way is doing a tour of all 50 states and will be partnering -with Cliffords-Army Rescue next month.
How You Can Help
Although I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be doing at the fundraiser, there’s a good chance I’ll end up with a pie in the face! LOL! And I’m cool with that! I’ll do anything silly to help raise funds for rescue animals. If you can’t make it to Shelby on November 7 for the event, you can still help by making a donation. If you work for a company or business, you can get your friends and co-workers to donate too! Your business can also make a ‘match’ donation, which would rock!
All the fun is happening at Clifford’s Corner, 105 W. Warren Street, Shelby and the event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be games, challenges, and other festivities. The event will also be live streamed on Facebook.
If you’re a wrestling fan from the 80’s, ‘The Perfect 10’ Baby Doll will also be a special guest! Back in the 1980’s she was often seen with Tully Blanchard, Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes.
If you can’t make it out to the event, you can still make a donation. Every little bit helps! Please consider donating as these funds are used to help those without a voice. Cliffords-Army does amazing things and I’m honored to be a part of this event. Donations can be made at https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8YGCHRMWNT
