Sweet North Carolina Dog Needs New Home After Owner Deployed
Ok…go ahead and grab some tissues because this story is going to cause a tear. There’s a sweet, shy, gorgeous dog that needs our help here in North Carolina. If I could have another dog, I’d take her in a minute! Living in an apartment, I can only have two dogs, so Kramer and Eddy are it for me. According to Yahoo Life, this North Carolina dog is in need of a new forever home.
BellaTrix, or Bella, is a two-year-old black Labrador/Shepherd mix. She was rescued two years ago from a rescue. Her human dad is in the military and is being deployed. Unfortunately, he just returned from another deployment. With this deployment, he didn’t have a way to keep the dog, and the original rescue organization couldn’t take her back.
Luckily, Bella was taken in by CARA (Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption), so she’s in a safe place right now. Having to leave Bella so often, the owner decided she needs stability and a new home. I cannot imagine how hard it was for him to make that decision. My heart is breaking for him, and for sweet Bella. His military service is taking him away for an unknown amount of time, so he’s doing the right thing. It’s just so sad!
This Dog Needs Some Loving People
CARA is in Sanford, which is about 40 miles southwest of Raleigh. If you’re looking for a new addition to your home, please consider this girl! Bella is housebroken, likes her crate and her doggie bed, and is quiet while indoors. She’s playful outside and is smart and attentive. She’s shy, and it takes her a bit to warm up to people but is very friendly.
According to CARA’s Facebook page, Bella weighs about 64 pounds. She’s dog and cat friendly and would likely do well with children. If you’ve been thinking about getting a dog, Bella may be perfect for you! If you’re interested, please reach out to CARA. For more information visit cara-nc.org.
Thank you to Bella’s dad for his service and we wish him a safe return!
