Shop Lots Of Festive Small Businesses At Charlotte Maker’s Market
I’ll be the first to admit that over the last few years I’ve done lots of shopping online at Amazon. I know I’m not alone. In 2023, I tried my best to shop at small businesses. Over the last six months I’ve been shopping on Etsy, which features small businesses from all over. If you’d like to do some serious shopping and support local small businesses here in the Charlotte area, you need to hit the Maker’s Market.
I’d only heard about this event recently, and it looks awesome! Marker’s Market was founded by Lidia Werntz. It’s a popup market and under the MMCLT umbrella, they’ve created numerous different markets with something for everyone. For example, they’ve held a handcrafted market and a metaphysical market. Last year they held over 200 events, and they’re planning to do more in 2024! Some of the upcoming markets will be a vintage one and a ‘nerdy’ one.
The Maker’s Market coming up will be on February 10, in downtown Matthews. You’ll be able to shop over 50 local small businesses, all in one spot! The streets will be closed, so you can walk freely, checking out all the vendors. There will tons of food vendors, CHNO Coffee serving up yummy drinks, and you can even bring your dog!
Shopping This Event Serves The Community
When you shop at locally owned small businesses, you’re helping the community that you live in. You’re supporting local folks who are offering an array of amazing items, some one of a kind. Many of MMCLT’s popups are at local breweries, which I love. You can have a drink and do some shopping!
You’ll be able to shop for numerous goods at the upcoming February 10 Maker’s Market. From tee-shirts, to jewelry, to dog treats, there will be something for everyone to love. I am a BIG fan of locally or independently made jewelry. Statement rings are my thing!
The Maker’s Market will go from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and it’s open to the public and it’s free to attend! Find out more details here and/or check out the flyer below.
