Hormel Chili Introduces Chips That Are Okay To ‘Double-Dip’
There’s “Giddy-up,” “No soup for you,” “Yada yada yada,” and so many others. However, of all the great “Seinfeldisms” that are still repeated more than 25 years after the iconic sitcom came to an end, the one that holds the most practical function in a party setting is “Double-dip.” As in, “Did you just double-dip that chip?” Timmy was right. It is like putting your whole mouth right in the dip. George should not have done that outside of the privacy of his own home. In case you forgot how that whole incident went down, I’ve posted the video for you below.
Clearly, this issue has never fully been resolved. Until now. According to Chew Boom, Hormel Chili teamed up with another Minnesota-based food manufacturer to unleash Double-Dippable Chips on the world. Consider my mind blown. Mostly because nobody else thought to do this before. No one is putting their whole mouth in the dip now. It’s another “Festivus” miracle!
Hormel has truly come up with an ingenious new solution to the age-old double-dipping dilemma. The new chips are made with a distinct perforation down the middle, which allows the user to easily snap the chip into two even halves and safely double-dip. As the product’s promotional video suggests, you can “dip once, then dip again.” Satisfied, Timmy? Or should I say, “Happy, Pappy?”
To celebrate the launch, chip-and-dip lovers could enter for a chance to win limited quantities of Hormel Chili Double-Dip Kits at ChiliDoubleDip.com. The party-friendly kits include a bag of Double-Dippable Chips, a can of Hormel Chili and a recipe for a 7-Layer Chili Cheese Dip. As you might expect, they went quickly. Someone please explain to me why these chips aren’t being mass produced?
