Planters Is Looking For 3 Fun Folks To Drive The ‘NUTMobile’
Oscar Mayer has been hiring people to drive the iconic Wienermobile for years. Another food company is also in need of some fun-loving folks to take the wheel of their oversized snack-shaped vehicle. KTLA-TV reports that Planters is hiring its third class of NUTmobile drivers, a.k.a Peanutters, to chauffeur the company’s iconic mascot, Mr. Peanut, all over America.
If your current job isn’t all it’s cracked up to be then this could be the perfect time for you to become a Peanutter. Planters and its parent company Hormel Foods want three people to join its team and drive around the country with Mr. Peanut in their eye-catching NUTmobile. The year-long commitment will have you being grand marshals of parades, making appearances at public events, doing interviews, and doling out nuts to festival goers.
Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Planters Peanutter?
The job description requires a Peanutter to be fun, creative, and carefree. A recent college grad with a degree in sales and/or marketing, plus experience in communications, advertising, public relations, or a related field is preferred. A healthy appreciation of nut-related puns is also a plus.
It wouldn’t hurt to be a good driver either. The Planters NUTmobile is 26-feet long. It’s basically a legume-shaped RV. I actually saw it in 2022 at the Johnston YMCA in NoDa. As you can tell from my photo above, the NUTmobile takes up most of two parking spots.
This unique and potentially career-launching opportunity starts in June and the deadline for applications is April 14, 2024. You’ll need to provide a resume, cover letter, and a short video selling yourself as the perfect Peanutter to join the team. You can get more details and apply HERE. Good luck!
