Will Smith Returning to the Music Stage
Looks like Smith has plans to return to the music scene with the announcement of him headlining the festival. The concert stage will be the Bad Boys actor's first concert performance in France. The announcement states that the Grammy Award winner will perform some of his classic hits including “Men in Black,” “Miami” and “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” and others.
“A unique performance that will bring together more generations of fans of Will Smith’s inimitable energy!,” said the Festival in a post about the Smith headlining announcement. Smith has not released an album since 2005 and 20 years later he'll be taking the stage yet again.
At the 2024 BET Awards, Smith performed You Can Make It, which was one of the first times he took to the stage in quite some time. In the last few years, Smith has been busy reliving his Bad Boys days.
Earlier this year, Smith also premiered another installment of the Bad Boys movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die. After a busy year with acting, he is now picking up the mic in France and performing for his music fans once again.
Who's going to France to be part of the festival experience? It's time to get jiggy with Will Smith again!
Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock At The Oscars: Twitter Reacts
As Chris Rock was presenting the nominees for Best Documentary, he began his intro by taking a few digs at the stars in the audience -- one of them being Jada Pinkett Smith and her alopecia condition. Rock said to Jada, "Can't wait to see you in the next G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it," and husband Will Smith laughed and clapped along with the joke. Jada, however, was not amused. So much so, that Will walked his way up on stage and slapped Chris Rock across the face. It was then that we all thought our televisions froze, but it was just Will cussing out the presenter. "Keep my wife's name out of your f---ing mouth!" Rock kept his cool and joked, "That was, uh, the greatest night in the history of television..."
