The Tipsy Pickle, a massive 35,000-square-foot entertainment center, will open at 201 Camp Road in Charlotte next February. The venue brings pickleball courts and various games to the historic location.

Six pickleball courts divided between indoor and outdoor areas make up the main attraction. Visitors can also enjoy golf simulators, arcade games, and shuffleboard. The place stays open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. on weekdays, staying open later on weekends.

Morning visitors can get breakfast right when it opens. The kitchen serves Tex-Mex food all day long. Those looking for drinks can choose between two bars, one inside, and one outside, offering margaritas and cocktails.

This new spot is part of a big 76-acre project backed by Atco Properties & Management and Shorenstein Properties. Southwick Architecture + Interiors handled the design, while PointBlank Ventures put up the money.

The place is packed with things to do. You'll find pool tables throughout, ping-pong tables in different spots, and dart boards on the walls. It's great for serious players and people just looking to have fun.

The building has quite a history. It started as a Ford factory making Model-Ts and Model-As. Later it became a Quartermaster Depot during wartime, before switching to making pharmaceuticals.

Not everyone at Camp North End is happy about it. One local artist called the project "shortsighted ambition" when talking to QC Nerve.

Some people worry that a sports bar doesn't match the area's artistic vibe. Many artists in the area are concerned about how the neighborhood is changing.
