A massive beer bash is about to hit Charlotte. The city will buzz with activity from Oct. 17-26, as brewers and beer fans gather for the 10-day Charlotte Craft Beer Week. Five major North Carolina craft brewers based in Charlotte will take center stage.

Scattered across the city's most lively spots, Charlotte Craft Beer Week packs in brewery tours, fresh beer launches, and street parties. Beer enthusiasts can track their adventures through a mobile app, scoring points at each stop.

Visitors can hop between NoDa's quirky streets, Plaza Midwood's artsy corners, South End's trendy spots, and the up-and-coming LoSo district. A touching tribute awaits at the Cosmic Ballet Returns toast, which supports young brewers through the Dan Wade Memorial Scholarship.

At Free Range NoDa, brewers will crack jokes about their harshest reviews during "Bad Review Night." Meanwhile, HopFly transforms into a treasure trove of beer gear and rare finds at the Brewery Bazaar. The real action kicks off at 4001 Yancey, where home brewers compete for top honors.

The unsung heroes of Charlotte's beer world get their due at Frenchy's Sip & Shop during Industry Appreciation Day. It's a chance to thank the folks who work behind the scenes.

Want free stuff? The festival's app turns brewery visits into a point-collecting game. Stack up enough points and snag some sweet brewery merchandise.

Charlotte's grip on North Carolina's beer market keeps getting stronger. The city now hosts five of the state's ten biggest craft beer producers.
