12 Charlotte Landmarks Will Glow Teal for Global Alzheimer’s Awareness, Nov. 3
This display joins over 1,500 sites worldwide, marking the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Light the World in Teal program’s twelfth year.

On Nov. 3, 12structures across Charlotte will cast teal light into the night sky. This display joins over 1,500 sites worldwide, marking the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's Light the World in Teal program's twelfth year.
Major sites like Bank of America Stadium stand ready to shine. The NASCAR Hall of Fame and Duke Energy Plaza will add their glow to this striking visual statement. Each beam of light sends a clear signal during Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
"We are grateful to have some of Charlotte's most high-profile sites raising awareness and supporting the millions of people affected by Alzheimer's disease," said Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., AFA President & CEO, according to Queen City News.
Bank of America Plaza will shine bright alongside Frying Pan Tower. The night will see 201 South Tryon, 550 South Tryon, and Ally Charlotte Center bathed in teal light. The Carillon, Truist Field, Brighton Gardens of Charlotte, and Sunrise on Providence round out the local sites taking part.
Teal stands as the chosen shade for this cause. No other single-purpose lighting event matches this scale, with sites across the globe uniting in a shared glow.
Anyone can take part. Local homes and businesses might add teal lights to their windows or porches as night falls on Nov. 3.
This lighting marks just one aspect of the month-long focus on Alzheimer's awareness. Through November, groups worldwide will work to lift up those facing this challenge. Small acts add up, showing so much support for every person touched by Alzheimer's.
