Wegmans Hiring, Training for Charlotte Location

Looking for a job in Charlotte? Wegmans is hiring and training employees for the new Charlotte location. The grocery store chain is set to open in the Ballantyne area this year.

The grocery store chain is planning for 450 workers at the Ballantyne location. Jobs that will become available include chefs, bakers, produce, line cooks, management, and overnight roles.

Charlotte is set to welcome Wegmans in Fall 2026. Officials report that interviews for the positions are appointment only, and people can apply online.

According to the website, employees hired before the grand opening will get hand on experince at another existing Wegmans location. Off-site training will take place until August 2026 with hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement. Training locations will include stores in Cary, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Wake Forest.
