Carolina Panthers Unveil Atrium Health Training Facility, Set for 2027 Opening in Uptown Charlotte
The Carolina Panthers struck a naming deal with Atrium Health for their new training center in Uptown Charlotte on Thursday.

The Carolina Panthers struck a naming deal with Atrium Health for their new training center in Uptown Charlotte on Thursday. The 101,400-square-foot complex will carry the name Atrium Health Training Facility. It opens before the 2027 training camp.
The reveal took place at the future site next to Bank of America Stadium. Team brass, health system leaders, city officials, and players showed up.
"The Atrium Health Training Facility is an important part of the overall transformation of Bank of America Stadium, supporting our players and adding to Charlotte's strength as a destination," said David Tepper, owner and chairman of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, according to Panthers.com. "Having Atrium Health as the naming partner underscores our shared commitment to performance, and the health and well-being of the people of the Carolinas."
The building houses a full-size indoor turf field, training rooms, nutrition space, football equipment storage, a video control room, and meeting spaces. An installation honoring Atrium Health Keep Pounding Kids will sit inside. Two full-size grass practice fields will be outdoors and can rotate to help manage usage and cut down on wear.
Construction has entered its vertical phase. The foundation is poured. Structural steel is rising. The center will provide flexible spaces for the football team and community work.
"Every day at Atrium Health, we work to bring the right team, technology, and care together when it matters most," said Eugene A. Woods, CEO of Advocate Health, of which Atrium is a part. "In a similar way, this new facility is about giving players everything they need to perform, recover, and compete at the highest level."
The training center is one piece of an $800 million makeover of Bank of America Stadium. The work will rely on up to $650 million in city hospitality and tourism tax-backed debt, with Tepper Sports & Entertainment covering a $150 million private share plus any cost overruns.
Atrium Health also holds naming rights to Charlotte FC's training campus, Atrium Health Performance Park. The organization had naming rights to the Panthers' temporary dome at the practice site, which the team tore down in 2024.
Daily training camp practices will be closed to the public in 2026 because of construction. The team will still host Fan Fest at Bank of America Stadium.
