Britney Spears’ Mom Lynne Spears Responds To Negative Comments
Britney Spears’ mother Lynne Spears has responded to negative comments on her latest Instagram post which featured a spider web — something that was too easy for Britney fans to slam her about.
Yesterday (August 11), Lynne, 66, shared a photo of a giant spider web on her Instagram and wrote, “Wow! Look at the size of this spider web!!”
Britney’s fans commented on her mom’s post things like: “As big as the web of lies your family & team told to imprison your daughter against her will,” “The same size of the violence you inflicted on our GODDESS over the years. #FreeBritney,” and “Not as big as the web you have Britney trapped in!!!!”
Lynne ignored these comments, but did respond to a few with one word: “stop.” One commenter who wrote, “That’s JamieLynne 🤮” received two “stops” from Lynne in response. “Oooh look at that! It’s Jamie Lynn and her lively home💁🏻♂️,” one person wrote, commenting on the spider web. Lynne also responded, “Stop.”
One user was trying to be more understanding of Britney’s mother writing, “The digs to Jamie Lynn are not helpful. End of the day Lynne is a Mother to them both. I have to say though Lynne – you were one of the reasons why Britney is in a conservatorship in the first place. I just hope that after the first year she was promised ‘freedom’ that you have been fighting for her ever since. I truly hope Britney has your [full] love & support Lynne. I can’t imagine how lonely it must feel that her Dad is so against her… She needs her Mother 💜.” Lynne responded back, “thank you ❤️”
The “Toxic” singer called out both her mom and sister on Instagram last month writing, “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill … yet people still try !!!! I didn’t like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past … I’m way past all that and have been for a long time !!!! And for women who say it’s weird the way I still have hope for fairy tales … go f— yourself 🖕🏼 !!!!!”
In June, Lynne’s attorney filed a court petition asking the judge to allow the singer to hire her own private lawyer, a request that was later granted.
