James Corden attends the Ninth Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on April 15, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.

With the Late Late Show ending this week, so will all its fun segments. Carpool Karaoke has become a fan-favorite since it began eight years ago, featuring a multitude of guests. On the final segment featuring a longtime friend of host James Corden, Adele asked him to dish on his favorite past moments and hardships.

Corden admitted that it was really hard to book celebrities to take part in the series. “No one would do it,” he said. “Everyone on planet Earth said ‘no.'” And when he finally got Mariah Carey on board, she only agreed to be on the segment — not to sing. This was a crucial part of the series, of course, so Corden did the best he could do: try to bait her into singing. As 1995’s “Always Be My Baby” begins playing in the car, Mariah immediately knew what he was up to.

Playing coy, Corden said with a huge grin, “It’s a new car, so I don’t know how to change the radio station.” The diva hummed along nonchalantly at first, even telling the television host that she wasn’t going to sing. “I’m not singing today, I was up all night,” she said at the time. Then all of a sudden, Carey began to sing along to the song. Sixty episodes later, the Carpool Karaoke series became a success. As Adele described in the final segment, “there’s been some bloody brilliant ones and a few s— ones, obviously.”

After Mariah, Corden had Justin Bieber (four times), Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Sia, Selena Gomez, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Britney Spears, and so many more.

See which 10 Carpool Karaoke segments we think are the best below:

  • Adele, 2016

In their first Carpool segment together, the Brits drive in rainy England. Adele is hilarious in the episode, and she is taken aback when James holds his own singing “Hello” alongside her. The most surprising part of the episode was when Adele rapped Nicki Minaj’s verse in “Monster.”

  • Stevie Wonder, 2015

The most hilarious opening to the series is when Corden asks, “Are you sure you’re okay to drive? Because this is making me feel a bit uneasy.” We then see Steve Wonder behind the wheel, who jokes, “My hands are on the steering wheel. Ready to roll!” Stevie then makes fun of Corden and puts on a British accent. The duo sang the 1972 classic, “Superstition,” 1976’s “Sir Duke” and “Isn’t She Lovely,” 1970’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” and 1968’s “For Once In My Life.”

  • Lady Gaga, 2016

Lady Gaga wore the glitteriest disco ball top during her segment and served the fiercest performances of “Bad Romance,” “The “Edge of Glory,” “Born This Way,” “Poker Face,” and “Million Reasons.” After just getting her license at 30 years old, she took over driving briefly. James asks if she knows the hand signals for driving in New York, and Gaga hilariously gives him the finger and says, “Yeah, this one.” Talking fashion, James put on his favorite Lady Gaga outfits of all time.

  • Bad Bunny, 2023

James asked Bad Bunny the story behind his name. Benito told him it’s because “no matter how bad, is still looking cute.” The artist hilariously looked into the camera and says, “I’m a good guy, I’m cute!” He then fluttered his eyelashes and makes a kissing face. Bad Bunny showed off his rapping skills, but what really surprised us was his performance of Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”

  • Nicki Minaj, 2022

James keeps up with Nicki Minaj’s raps in songs like “Anaconda,” “Do We Have a Problem?”, “Chun‐Li,” and “Blick Blick.” She even spits her “Monster” voice and there’s a side-by-side of when Adele did it years earlier. Nicki hilariously teaches James what “opps” are, which he innocently confuses for “opportunities.”

  • Ariana Grande, 2018

James and Ariana sang her songs “Dangerous Woman,” “Side To Side,” “God Is A Woman,” “No Tears Left to Cry,” Ariana completely blew him out of the water and he had no chance of keeping up with her. After all, she listened to Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion growing up.

  • Christina Aguilera, 2018

Right off the bat, Corden and Christina sing “Fighter,” and the host asks how X-Tina hits those “angsty” notes. Though he sounds like Fozzie from The Muppets, Aguilera proves she’s still got those powerhouse chops as they sing her hit “Dirrrty” and Melissa McCarthy pops out from the back seat to rap Redman’s verse. Christina gives the other two a vocal lesson to be a “full VH1 diva” and has them try to copy how she sings.

  • Migos, 2018

James raps along with the Migos, showing off his ad-lib skills. He asks the trio how they came up with “dabbing,” which Quavo says is really “swagging.” On behalf of all dads everywhere, James apologizes for the “destruction of the dab.” Changing up the mood, the four men sing a Migos-remixed rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Migos even give James a makeover with their stacks of cash and his transformation is… “dripping.”

  • Ed Sheeran, 2017

Sheeran and his guitar join James for this segment of Carpool, and the singer-songwriter gets immediately handsy with the late-show host, gripping his inner thigh and fondling his nipples as they sing “Shape of You.” A cheeky Ed tells James, “Grind on it! I wanna see you work it, James. Work it for me.” Sheeran played the guitar for “Thinking Out Loud,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” and “Castle on the Hill.”

  • Bruno Mars, 2016

Bruno and James hit the funk with hits like “24K Magic,” “Locked Out Of Heaven,” “Grenade,” “Versace On The Floor,” and “Uptown Funk.” James is even able to harmonize beautifully with Bruno’s perfect voice. The duo have fun trying on a bunch of loud hats, which look terrible on the late-show host, but Bruno is able to pull off each one miraculously.
