The Star wars decoration in Sahara desert

May the 4th be with you. Yes, it is that iconic day. Today throughout the world and galaxy it is known as Star Wars Day.

The phrase “May the 4th Be With You” dates back to 1978, one year after Star Wars: A New Hope was released. During the summer of ’78, clever newspaper writers used the phrase as a gimmick for the Fourth of July celebrations. As heard in A New Hope, “May the Force be with you” has appeared on licensed (and unlicensed) buttons, posters, and other items for months, which convinced these writers that their readers would enjoy the joke.

Below are 7 of my favorite Star Wars-related videos to celebrate today. There are iconic scenes, funny moments, and random Star Wars-related content that I just adore. Take a look below and may the force be with you.

  • Luke is HERE!

When this happened, I was like YES Luke is back!

  • Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones | Anakin & Padme, On Naboo

When life was good. This makes me sad and happy at the same time. The stork of Anakin (also Darth Vader) truly is a sad one. When you see moments like this you think there is hope for him (and her) but sadly…we all know that isn’t the truth.

  • Darth Vader - The Suit - Episode III

When Darth Vader ACTUALLY becomes Darth Vader. Ah, the scene is epic. If you have never seen it, shame on you. It is such an important part (and esthetically eye-pleasing) of the Star Wars films.

  • The Father and Son Love

Oh, how we are all thankful for The Mandalorian and Grogu. These moments get me every time. He is such a dad.

  • Cantina (1977) with Harrison Ford

In 1977, this scene introduced people to Star Wars for the first time. It is a turning point in Stars Wars. We enter this cantina and are immediately introduced to all the colorful species of aliens that inhabit the vast Star Wars universe.

  • Jabba's Cousins I The Book Of Boba Fett

When the cousins showed up…wow…just wow. I love them. The one uses a hamster to wipe its face. Amazing.

  • Star Wars Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base - SNL

This video is just amazing. I laugh every time. My favorite part, is “Hearing that Zack lost his son really struck a nerve with me. Especially since I’m the one that killed him.” Dead.
