Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart met in 1975 at a London restaurant where Annie was working. Within ten years, they were among the world’s biggest acts in pop and rock as Eurythmics. In 2022, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Three of their singles stand out as their most successful on the Billboard Hot 100. “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” was the chart-topping title track from the 1983 album that launched Eurythmics to international fame. The video is one of the most iconic of the early-MTV era.

“Here Comes the Rain Again” was the third single from Eurythmics’ 1984 album, Touch. The haunting video was filmed on the beautiful Orkney Islands off the northern coast of Scotland.

“Would I Lie to You” came from the duo’s fourth studio album, Be Yourself Tonight, in 1985. It was a departure from Eurythmics’ synth-pop roots to a sound that incorporated more elements of rock and R&B. The video features actor Steven Bauer, whom you might recognize as ‘Manny Ribera’ in Scarface.
