Best Movies Filmed In Charlotte
The Queen City isn’t Tinseltown, and that’s probably a good thing, but the Charlotte area has hosted plenty of Hollywood production crews. It should come as no surprise that many of the movies filmed here feature stock car racing. Charlotte Motor Speedway was used as a shooting location in half of the movies on this list:
The Color Purple (1985)
Days of Thunder (1990)
