America’s Top (And Bottom) 10 Halloween Candy
If you haven’t purchased the candy that you’ll be handing out to trick-or-treaters next week, take this list to the store with you. Online bulk candy seller CandyStore.com has released its updated list of the top-selling Halloween candy in the U.S., based on ten years of sales data:
10. Hershey Bar
9. Skittles
8. Sour Patch Kids
7. Butterfinger
6. Nerds
5. M&M’s
4. Kit Kat
3. Twix
2. Snickers
1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
No surprises on the national list but there’s a new #1 in North Carolina. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups have been dethroned from the top spot by M&M’s. I’m baffled by South Carolina. The most popular Halloween candies in the Palmetto State are Candy Corn, Skittles, and Hot Tamales. No chocolate in the top three!?! And Candy Corn ranks as one of America’s least favorite Halloween candies:
10. Mary Jane’s
9. Good & Plenty
8. Licorice
7. Smarties
6. Tootsie Rolls
5. Peanut Butter Kisses
4. Necco Wafers
3. Wax Coke Bottles
2. Candy Corn
And America’s least popular candy is…
1. Circus Peanuts!
