The Germ Magnet You Probably Aren’t Cleaning
It’s all you hear about these days. Social distancing, washing your hands, wipe down your phone, doorknobs, and all the surfaces in your house. You’ve made several grocery store runs in the past few days: food for at least two weeks, more hand sanitzer than you typically use in 6 months, wipes, soap, and if you’re lucky toilet paper. If you’re like me you’re probably taking every precaution you can think of to avoid getting coronavirus-if for no other reason that the hype is finally starting to scare you.
But there is probably one thing, that you touch day in a day out, that you probably have never cleaned and you might want to- your credit card! Not only do you get the germs that you have touched day in and day out, but think of how many times you hand that card to a cashier to swipe and all the cards they have previously touched. Even those credit card machines you swipe yourself, how often do those really get cleaned?
Definitely take a wipe to your card but maybe it’s time to put it away for a while. Luckily there are many places you can pay with your phone and can leave that germ magnet in your wallet.
