Don’t miss the South End’s Christmas tree lighting in the Railyard, 1414 S. Tryon St., from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Carolers, seasonal refreshments, music, entertainment, and photo opportunities with Santa will be part of the festivities.

Discover the wonder of more than 1 million holiday lights along a half-mile walking trail at the Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular in Ballantyne. The trail will be open daily from Dec. 5 through Dec. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. General admission on the weekdays is $10 per person.

The Historic Fourth Ward invites adults 21 and older to enjoy a holiday sip and stroll amid the beauty of the season’s decorations.
