  • Goodwill (Multiple Locations)

Halloween costumes can be expensive, but there are ways to stay on budget. One way is by snagging your costume at Goodwill. Charlotte has a ton of awesome Goodwill stores to choose from. If you’re lucky, you might even see a full set for super cheap. I have used Goodwill before to make my own DIY costume from select pieces. It’s a great way to find unique pieces on a dime. They offer costume props, makeup, false lashes, and even hair coloring for way less than other retail stores.

  • Micheals (Muliple Locations)

If you are more of a DIY type of person (like me) head over to Micheals to make your Halloween costume. Micheals is great because they offer tons of Halloween accessories to create your costume. There are wigs, earrings, tutus, hats, and more. Michaels has plenty of fabrics, sewing prints, and jewels to create your own Halloween costume. There are several Micheals locations in the Charlotte area you can visit.

  • Hobby Lobby (Multiple Locations)

Hobby Lobby is all over the Charlotte area. Even though they don’t have any Halloween-focused accessories, they still have tons of DIY materials. Due to religious beliefs, the company does not recognize Halloween. However, they sell items that can help you make your very own costume. They sell glitter, fabrics, buttons, gems, fuzzy boas and more so get creative.

Well, you go to the Dollar Tree and buy some tule, some elastic, some Christmas ornaments, glitter and you make yourself a custom tutu. You can make your own Halloween costume too by heading to the Dollar Tree and seeing what sparks your creative mind. They have a whole craft section with tons of gems. (Literally) Dream big people!
