BFF Follows Friend On Her First Date In 15 Years And The Videos Go Viral
I love this story! Probably because I have a best friend that would totally do this for me. And I’d do it for her! A woman was going on her first date in 15 years, and her best friend dressed up in a disguise and followed her to make sure she was ok. And the best part is that she documented the whole thing on TikTok with a series of videos that have gone viral.
According to the New York Post, the videos were originally posted on November 26, and have exploded! So far, they’ve snagged over 15 million views. @Ohhemmagee is the friend who followed her bestie on her date. Her boyfriend was with her and the two followed the pair from a distance. Both wore hoodies and sunglasses as their disguises. Truth told; they looked like the Unabomber!
While the woman was on her date, her bestie and her boyfriend dressed in their disguises, hid behind pillars and signs to avoid detection. They looked so funny and out of place that a passerby asked them what they were doing. LOL!
There are two videos about the friend following her bestie. A third video shows the friend grilling her bestie about the date, asking if there will be a second one.
Although some commenters on TikTok thought this was ridiculous, most praised the friend for making sure her bestie was safe. I love that the friend did this. Dating is scary now! I mean, you never really know who you’re going out with, but internet dating is just weird in my opinion. I’m old school and remember when you met someone in person, chatted, and if there was a spark, you’d go out on a date. Online takes all that away. For people my age, it’s just kinda strange.
It’s been three years since I’ve been on a date and the thought of going out on one isn’t appealing to me. I give this woman credit for taking a risk and going out on her first date in 15 years! That takes guts! And I think it’s awesome her friend made sure she was ok.
