Backstreet’s back, alright! The Backstreet Boys are celebrating 30-plus years as a group with their Backstreet’s Back at the Beach next year. We’re feeling like its the 1990s all over again! The only way we can celebrate is with some super nostalgic Backstreet Boys items.
The original five members, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson, will host an all-inclusive concert vacation on Mexico’s Cancún beach from April 18 to the 21st. The highly-anticipated event will feature two shows right on the beach! BSB will be performing their DNA Show World Tour set, which recently ended in May. During that tour, they performed over 150 shows across the globe.
To make this full resort takeover of unlimited food and alcohol even greater, Jason Derulo will be headlining. Along with daily performances from Eric Cubeecchee and DJ YO-C. There will be daily pool parties, “band-curated activities,” and local adventures. To add a little more context to the activities and adventures advertised, there will be a tequila and guacamole tasting. Honestly, it sounds like everything younger versions of ourselves wanted desperately!
The band got their start in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. Howie and AJ were locals who met each other through a mutual vocal coach and later discovered Nick Carter through auditions. After realizing that they could harmonize together, they decided to form a trio, with Kevin and Brian being selected later in the open auditions. The group rose to fame with their international debut album, Backstreet Boys, with the hit “Quit Playing Games (with My Heart).” Their follow-up album, Backstreets Back, features even more hits that we love to play to this day, such as, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and “As Long as You Love Me.”
