150 Years of Cedar Grove Presbyterian
A landmark that we all drive by every day that predates the invention of the first modern automobile and the Wright Brothers first flight in 1903. The Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church in Concord was founded in 1867 as a place of worship for families, individuals, friends, and visitors.
As one of the oldest African American Churches in US History, Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church celebrated their 150th anniversary this past weekend with a celebratory dinner after the morning worship service. Reverend Edward Newberry, former Pastor, even came to celebrate with Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church as a special guest. The milestone dinner was held at Poplar Tent Church in Concord and was a great time for everyone.
Cedar Grove Presbyterian recently produced a History Project which offers fun facts, trivia, and shows pictures of the church and members throughout the years. The History Project is shown in three segments and can be found on their website CedarGrovePresbyterian.com
