Jordyn Woods Shares Her Story: ‘I’m Not Here to Play Victim’

Jordyn Woods shared her side of the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal Friday in a bombshell interview on Red Table Talk.
Host Jada Pinkett Smith lovingly pressed Woods at the beginning of the interview by saying, “there’s a family that feels betrayed by you and you’re clear about that, right?”
Woods, 21, said she accepts responsibility for her actions and could understand “why people would say they’re getting cozy.” She revealed that while she did not sleep with Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, at a party on Feb. 17, he did kiss her at the end of the night.
“It was like a kiss on the lips, but no tongue kiss, no making out,” she said. “Nothing. But I don’t think he’s wrong either, because I allowed myself to be in that position. And when alcohol is involved, people make dumb moves or people get caught up in the moment.”
Woods adamantly denied giving him a lap dance, however. She said she sat on the arm of his chair and her legs were dangling over his. She also denied sleeping with him.
There was “never anything intimate,” she said. “He didn’t try to take me to a room. It was just an innocent time.”
Woods added that she did not reveal the kiss to Khloe Kardashian when they spoke the next morning. And while she knows she made a mistake, it’s not a mistake that’s “worth crucifixion.”
Will Smith also offered advice to Woods, saying “take your medicine and tell your truth.”
“This is a part of what growing up is,” Smith told her via video call. “This is a part of what learning is, a part of what family is. The world is not going to break you; we don’t allow it.”
Woods agreed and took responsibility but said she draws the line at her family being in danger, adding that they have not been able to leave the house since the scandal broke last month. She even revealed that if she was a “weak person, I would have hurt myself.”
“I wasn’t thinking right,” Woods said. “I take full responsibility for that.”
“I got caught up in the lifestyle of who I thought I wanted to be,” she added.
Woods has said she apologized to Khloe Kardashian but is dealing with the repercussions of lying to the people she loved “not because of malicious intent but because I was just scared.”
