Throwback Thursday Video Of The Week: Robert Palmer “Addicted To Love”
It’s hard to pick just one music video to represent an entire decade, but Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love” is a good candidate for the 1980’s.
The 1985 video was so immediately iconic that the supermodel formula was used again in the late singer’s videos for “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On” (1985), “Simply Irresistible” (1988), and in animated form for “Change His Ways” (1988).
Pepsi liked the look of those videos so much, they enlisted Robert and company for some TV commercials in 1989. The concept was later flipped around in Shania Twain’s 1997 video for “Man! I Feel Like a Woman.”
