An 82-Year-Old Female Body Builder Sent a Home Invader to the Hospital
Willie Murphy was at her NY home when someone knocked on her door in the late evening, claiming he was sick and needed an ambulance. Murphy picked up the phone and called 911, but she did not open the door.
Suddenly there was a loud sound, and Murphy realized the stranger broke the door down and intruded Murphyâs home.
She grabbed a nearby table. âIâm alone, and Iâm old but guess what? Iâm tough,â Murphy said. âI took that table, and I went to work on him. And guess what? The table brokeâ Once the man was injured; Murphy says she poured shampoo on his face and hit him with a broom. âHe picked the wrong house to break into.â
When officers arrived minutes later, it wasnât Murphy who needed medical attention.â Heâs lying down already because I had did a number on that man,â Murphy said. The suspect, who police say was intoxicated, was taken to the hospital. Murphy is not pressing charges. Jim Marron has been friends with the 82-year-old for over a decade, and heâs not surprised she held her own WBTV 3.
