The first single released from New Jersey was “Bad Medicine.” It went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was Bon Jovi’s third song to do so.
There are two videos for “Bad Medicine.” One is a straightforward concert shoot, but the version more people remember includes a cameo by the late comedian, Sam Kinison. He convinces the fans waiting in line to get into the video shoot that they could do a better job than the professionals. Members of the crowd are given handheld cameras and invited onstage to help with the filming, giving the video a DIY look with a lot of big ’80s hair.
