Belmont Eatery Helping Others In The Community On Friday
With all going on in the world right now, it’s hard to keep up with all the different community events in the area. Luckily I saw this on Facebook yesterday and I thought the info was worthy of passing on.
Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in Belmont, NC has partnered with the City of Belmont, Convoy of Hope, Elevation Outreach and Creative Solutions to host a mobile distribution even on Friday, April 17. Over $35,000 worth of food, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products will be distributed to those who need it. All you have to do is pull up and someone will be the supplies in your trunk.
This will happen tomorrow from 9 AM to 12 PM in downtown Belmont. Police will be on hand to assist with the traffic. This event is for anyone that is in need of supplies! If you or someone you know is in need of food, cleaning supplies or other household products, just show up and you’ll be given items for free.
Even though Nellie’s has been in Belmont for quite some time, I’ve haven’t eaten there yet. I’ve heard good things though! This is an awesome way to give back to the community. Since I grew up in Gaston County and still live there, I love to see folks in my area helping others.
Nellie’s is located at 36 N Main Street in Belmont and if you have any questions about tomorrow’s event you can call 704-396-7169
