Community Moratorium On Gun Violence
Mecklenburg Council of Elders (MCOE) will be calling for a moratorium on gun violence. The date chosen is Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 12:00 noon, and the location will be the Plaza Road Academy School – 1000 Anderson St. in the gymnasium parking lot behind the school.
This event will practice social distancing by allowing people to stay in their cars and when out of the car to wear a mask.

The Mecklenburg Council of Elders (MCOE) have asked City and County representatives to attend along with Chief Jennings and Sheriff McFadden, to show their support of this “Call for a moratorium on Gun Violence”. This organization wants perpetrators (young & old, police & criminals) to be aware that there are many, many eyes on them and this activity of running down our communities will not be tolerated and needs to stop!
