Throwback Video Of The Week: The Hooters “And We Danced”

The Hooters had been on the Philadelphia music scene for five years when they released their second album, Nervous Night, in 1985. That’s when the rest of the world began paying attention to them.
The musically diverse band scored one of their biggest hits that year with “And We Danced.” The song just missed the top 20 on theĀ Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at #21, but did reach #3 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
The video for “And We Danced” is a good one to revisit in 2020, given the current resurgence of drive-in theaters. Neither the Hooters nor the audience practiced social distancing, but the band members all had quarantine-style haircuts.
