Charlotte Church Starts Pop-Up Grocery Store To Help Others
Although many people have returned to a new sense of normal since the beginning of the pandemic, there are still a lot of people in need. A local Charlotte church is doing what they can to help those that are struggling. The Nexus Church has started a pop-up grocery store.
The church is giving folks fruits, veggies, meats, dairy, and other grocery stables, free of charge. This Sunday was the third week the church has done it. Horatious Harris, the lead pastor of Nexus Church, says that hundreds of people show up for the groceries.
Many people that were doing fine prior to the pandemic are now hurting, and the church is providing food that’s needed for families. The church is planning to continue the pop-up store for at least another month.
