Carrigan Farms In Mooresville Is The Close Getaway We Need
I have lived in North Carolina most of my life, living in Gaston County for the majority of my life. That stated, I had never heard of Carrigan Farms until now. Carrigan Farms in Mooresville is home to a natural, spring-fed oasis. It’s a quarry filled with blue water surrounded by gray granite cliffs and a white-sand beach. And the farm hosts open swim dates throughout the summer. It looks amazing!
Seeing the pictures of this beautiful location made me happy. I have always been a fan of water and this spot is screaming for you to jump in. It truly looks like a vacation destination. It’s definitely inviting!
It’s $15 per person to swim, and the farm accepts cash or checks at the gate. This year, to help limit the number of visitors and provide more room for social distancing, advance reservations are required. To make a reservation, a $5 deposit per person is required. On the day of your visit, you’ll receive a $5 voucher to use at the Quarry Kitchen for food or drinks in return. Very cool!
On open swim days, lifeguards are on duty however, all swimmers must wear a life jacket unless they have passed the farm’s swim test. You must be 12 or older to take the swim test however kids 11 and younger are required to wear a life jacket.
Not only does Carrigan Farms have a festive swimming area, but there’s also farm tours, sunflower picking, and a haunted trail in the fall. They even hold weddings and corporate events.
