Oprah Is Getting Attacked Online For Calling Out ‘White Privilege’ Because She’s Rich
Oprah is currently under attack on social media over a recent episode of her new Apple TV+ show, The Oprah Conversation.
Per the New York Post, in the episode featuring former NFL player and race activist Emmanuel Acho, there was a segment where non-black viewers discussed racism and white privilege.
One guest said, “Not all white people have power. There’s plenty of poor, working-class white people. But I think that when we group all of white people together and we don’t recognize the fact that there’s a lot of white people that struggle, and it’s a different struggle as you mentioned because they’re not streaming upstream, let’s call it.”
The guest added, “I think that if we’re gonna come together and really attack racism and the inequities that are in this country and are in this world, that it’s important not to group all white people.”
Oprah Winfrey responded to the guest, saying, “There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people — the caste system that’s been put in place. But they still, no matter where they are on the rung or ladder of success, they still have their whiteness.”
Oprah then said that white people have a “leg up” and added, “You still have your whiteness. That’s what the term ‘white privilege’ is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage.”
Since the episode aired, people have passionately responded to Oprah’s words. Many of them think that because Oprah is rich, she can’t speak about privilege. Oprah is also trending on Twitter. See some of the both heated and supportive tweets below.

Wow. Ok. The completely unnecessary, racist criticism of Oprah for being a successful billionaire (as if she wasn't completely outnumbered by white male billionaires) is exactly why Oprah should be out there talking about racism and white privilege.

Oprah was born DIRT poor, raped as a child, worked HARD, and became an American ICON worth BILLIONS.
Why is a victimhood and inferiority complex her message to Black Americans?

I would love to see a video of Oprah the billionaire, talking to a homeless white guy and saying this to his face. That would be glorious. https://t.co/bpXWcPBQnW

Side note: One day you will realize that everything #Oprah has ever said or done will make you cringe, even cry. She is one of the most privileged women in the world. Along her journey she was accosted and indulged in pure #evil.

“Oprah” another rich elite trying to preach the masses about privilege. Have you checked yours yet? it’s easy, according to the new revelation by Holywood elites all you need is a lack of Melanin and you are privileged no matter how much struugle life gives you.
