A Company Has Created “No Wash” Underwear And Ewwwwww
Would you buy a pair of underpants that you never had to wash? It’s now a thing and so far, the product is selling well.
The company developing the underwear line is HercFiber from Minnesota. They have come up with what it calls “the world’s cleanest underwear,” an innovative self-cleaning undergarment that can be worn daily for weeks, even months, without becoming smelly.
Instead of cotton, these underpants are made from a revolutionary material called HercFiber. This fiber continuously destroys all bacteria and stays clean without needing a wash. All you have to do is let the underwear “air out” for a bit after wearing it. After the “air out”, you can safely wear the undies the next day. HercFiber is made with a blend of Bamboo, Eucalyptus, Beechwood, and Copper fibers. The copper is anti-infection, antibacterial, and also “stabilizes and heals” the skin, so when it’s weaved into the underwear, it slows the growth of bacteria and eliminates it.
The founder of the company came up with this idea of self-cleaning clothing while on a trip in Iceland. He had packed only a backpack of clothing but realized that it wasn’t going to be enough. Some of his clothes started to smell bad after one wear, and that got him thinking.
Personally, washing undies isn’t that big a deal, but I can see these being useful if you enjoy camping or traveling lots. As of right now the company is still looking for backers. They’ve raised a good amount of money so far. There was a “super early bird pack of 10” for sale for $199, but they sold out quickly.
More details on the undies and how to become a backer are here. And here’s a video so you can check em out.
