Airbnb Offers Once In A Lifetime Opportunity To Travel Anywhere For A Year For Free
If you love to travel then the last year or so has been rough for you. The pandemic halted travel for those who love adventure but that’s changing. And Airbnb wants to help you hit the road for a year!
Airbnb has announced their Live Anywhere program, billing it as a “once in a lifetime” shot to make the world your home for a year. A dozen individuals will be able to travel the world. Each winner can bring three travel companions and will receive a year’s worth of free living accommodations. Also included is a free transportation allowance between $5,000-12,000 depending on the number of folks going with you. The prize is valued at $45,000, and Airbnb is looking for folks that will share their experiences.
Beginning in July and running through July 2022, what you do and where you go is up to you. You can learn a new language in your favorite city, take your family on an awesome road trip, or go on a world wide food tour. It’s up to you! If you’ve been working remotely, this promotion will let you continue to work and travel for free.
Basic requirements to apply include being 18 or over, having a valid passport, and having at least a conversational command of English. Airbnb is looking for a wide variety of people. The selection process includes multiple rounds and reviewers will score each applicant. 20 finalists will be selected. Those who want to hit the road will be assessed by their passion for travel and interest in helping to shape the future of Airbnb.
Aside from the standard questions like name, contact information, age, and citizenship, there’s a brief questionnaire that assesses each applicant. Online applications must be in by June 30. Finalists will be contacted no later than July 5 and will have to submit a two-minute video answering specific questions by July 9. Finalist interviews will take place by July 16, and offers to the chosen 12 participants will be made by July 21. Those chosen will have one day to confirm or reject the invitation.
