Attend The Wine Walk Series
If you’re a wine lover and enjoy new experiences involving the lively spirits, get in on the Wine Walk Series that’s filled with live music, wine education, and a gift. But most of all, it’s the well needed time to get out of the house! There’s wine sampling at participating retailers and a charity raffle at the Wine Walk Series at Blakeney Shopping Center on Ardrey Kell and Rea Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be attending a fun and worthy event because your $25 tickets also serve as a donation to the featured monthly charity. The ticket price includes a tasting cup, wine tote, wristband, passport and access to samples of wine in the participating retail shops. On Thursday, August 5th from 6pm to 8pm, the event is benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank’s Backpack Program. The Backpack Program provides a backpack full of nutritious, ready to eat or easy to prepare foods that are sent home on weekends and holidays when school meals are not available. The Second Harvest Backpack Program provides over 200,000 backpacks annually at over 200 distribution sites in 17 counties that the Food Bank serves.
On Thursday, September 2nd from 6pm to 8pm, the event is benefiting Isabella Santos Foundation. ISF is dedicated to improving rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to increase the survival rates of kids with cancer. Funds from this program will be granted to Levine Children’s to help build the Isabella Santos Foundation Rare & Solid Tumor Program supporting rare pediatric cancer research.
On Thursday, October 7th from 6pm to 8pm, the event is benefiting Pat’s Place. Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center coordinates the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of the most severe cases of child abuse in Mecklenburg County. As the only child advocacy center in Charlotte, Pat’s Place serves children from birth through age 18. All services are provided in a nurturing, friendly, and safe environment at no cost to a child’s family.
