Bella Hadid Explains Why She Rejoined Victoria’s Secret
Speaking to Daily Pop‘s Francesca Amiker yesterday (January 11), Bella Hadid revealed that she has rejoined Victoria’s Secret after the brand faced backlash back in 2020.
The 25-year-old model recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo at a Victoria’s Secret photoshoot, which the host asked her what it’s like working for the company’s VS Collective, “an unparalleled group of trailblazing partners who share a common goal to drive positive change.” Per E!, the fashion giant has been rebranding themselves since 2020, when they faced backlash from sexual harassment and bullying allegations — some of which were made by Hadid herself.

Hadid reflected on her growth in the new year, telling Amiker, “Another way that I realized my growth—which was super important for me—was being able to be in a setting that I once felt unempowered, and to now feel so empowered and so reassured.”
“I don’t know if people understand that just as much as you would feel that it’s uncomfortable to be in your underwear shooting a commercial, it is that uncomfortable,” she continued. “So the thing about Victoria’s Secret for me now is that they really, really care about us.”
When asked about what trends she thinks will be popular this year, Hadid said, “I’m thinking 2022 is all about comfort. I take my few times a year that I do my red carpet and that’s for my alter ego to come out, for my fashionista to come out. On regular days I’m giving sporty, I’m giving comfortable.
