South Carolina Strawberry Festival Schedule Set For This Spring
Although I am not a fan of the heat anymore, I do love summer food! Here in the Carolinas, there are so many yummy veggies and fruits available once the weather warms up. Strawberries are one of the fruits to be celebrated and you can join in the festivities at the South Carolina Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill.
The 14th annual South Carolina Strawberry Festival will be returning to Fort Mill in May, according to WSOC. The town released a schedule of events that kick off April 14. There are tons of fun ways to celebrate strawberries.
All the fun starts with the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant on April 14 at Catawba Ridge High School starting at 7 p.m. The Teen Miss Strawberry pageant will be held at the school beginning at 7 p.m. on April 15.
The Strawberry Sprint, Stroll, and Jam Race will be held at 10 a.m. on April 29 on Main Street. The Fort Mill History Museum will host the Strawberry Scavenger Hunt downtown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s also a Strawberry Festival Brunch being held and a Strawberry Festival Golf Tournament.
Saturday, May 6 the real star of the festival will be celebrated! You’ll be able to buy buckets of fresh strawberries and try lots of different strawberry foods. Fresh strawberry jam is one of my favorites! And strawberry ice cream on a warm day is the perfect refreshment.
There will be 100’s of vendors on site for shopping and there will be a Fun Zone and rides for the kids. There’s something for everyone at this festival! If you want to volunteer at the festival, they’re currently looking for some ‘berry’ good folks to help out. Find out all you need to know here. Now I want a strawberry treat!
The Town of Fort Mill is excited to host it's 14th Annual South Carolina Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White Street, 10AM-10PM.
