Jennifer Aniston: 4 Things She Does To Stay In Shape In Her 50s
Jennifer Aniston revealed her secret to looking great at 54 years old. In CR Fashion Book‘s latest cover for the magazine’s 10th-anniversary issue, the Morning Show star listed four rules she lives by to stay healthy. Aniston told the publication, “I drink a lot of water, move my body daily, try to eat whole, fresh foods, and get as much sleep as I can.”
Aniston admitted that the last part is the most challenging for her. As we previously reported, the actress opened up about her 10-year battle with insomnia in a March interview with USA Today. At first, she ignored it. She thought: “‘I can go the day on five hours of sleep and I’ll make up for it over the weekend’… and over time, it was really starting to affect every single part of my daily life.” It became more difficult for her to memorize lines, she was losing strength in her workout, and she noticed her skin wouldn’t look “as great and vibrant. I just looked exhausted.”
In her recent cover story for CR Fashion Book, Aniston also said that she monitors what she sees on television to keep her mental health in check, too. “I try to be really mindful about what I let into my headspace,” she said. “That likely means less binge-watching cable news.” Though she plays a news anchor on television, Aniston says that although she cares about what is going on in the world, “it’s imperative that we turn off the noise.”

As for her workouts, Aniston said that she is a big fan of Pvolve, a “science-led method that combines low-impact functional fitness with resistance-based equipment to deliver results beyond a traditional workout,” according to its website. After starring in their campaigns in August, Aniston said she’s been motivated to work out in a way she hasn’t been able to in years. The Friends alum says the fitness program has a lot of challenging classes that she looks forward to because she feels “stronger and more comfortable in my body when I’m doing it.” She also says every class is different each time, and hasn’t had a repeat yet. Added Aniston: “It’s different every time; I don’t think I’ve had the same class twice.” She found out about Pvolve by a friend two years ago and joined the company as a partner this year.
