North Carolina Toddler Leaves Big Surprise For His Family Underneath Their Christmas Tree
I hope you and your family had a very merry and memorable Christmas. The Reintgen family certainly had a holiday they’ll be talking about for years. The North Carolinians woke up to find a surprising scene underneath the tree on the morning of December 25th, courtesy of a toddler.
According to Today, when Scott and Katie Reintgen heard someone calling from the Christmas tree early Monday morning all they saw was a riot of wrapping paper strewn about the living room. Someone had unwrapped every single present. The culprit? Their three-year-old son.
Scott Reintgen, a sci-fi novelist and the father of the bold toddler, shared a couple of social media posts (below) about the shocking display and its aftermath. He wrote, “Yall. My three year old came down at 3am and unwrapped EVERYONE’S presents.” The accompanying photo shows the little fella’s wake of Yuletide destruction.
In a second post, Reintgen said his son came clean and explained his motive. The toddler told his parents that he opened all of the parents so that “no one was confused and they all knew what they had gotten.” The boy believes in transparency! You have to respect that. The truth is that he woke up his parents in the wee hours of Christmas morning to ask for a pair of scissors so that he could play with the Spider-Man web shooters he had discovered under the tree.
The toddler’s parents managed to re-wrap some of the presents before their other kids saw them. Scott Reintgen added that he and Katie were then “sipping coffee and plotting to tell this story at his wedding.” That’s one holiday memory that will live on for a long time, whether their son likes it or not. Actions have consequences, am I right? LOL!
Just adding his explanation for why he opened everything! 😂 Also have to add: we’re not mad. He’s a good kid, and it’s a story we’ll tell for the rest of our lives. pic.twitter.com/GKiJjPjQXR
