Get A Little Risque For Valentine’s Day With Local Aerial Show
A few weeks ago, Phil and his wife Sarah were amazed at the Cirque de Soleil show ‘Bazzar’. It’s unreal how the performers are able to contort their bodies. There’s a local show that’s similar, but a bit more risque that would be cool to check out for Valentine’s Day. The Cirque du Biere is a burlesque-inspired show with local aerial performers. And part of the proceeds benefit an amazing local charity, Fighting Chance Ranch & Rescue.
Work For Your Beer and Hi-Wire Brewing, both in Charlotte, are collaborating on a series of aerial shows with local aerial troupe Cirque du Biere. The burlesque-inspired show is an awesome event for you and your significant other, or for you and your friends for ‘Galentine’s Day’. It’s happening Friday, February 9 at Hi-Wire Brewing here in Charlotte. The show will last around two hours, giving you a brief intermission so you an grab some beers.
The first act will have local aerialists performing a choreographed piece to a song that they choose. The second act will have the performers improv a routine to a song that YOU request. Cool!
Info To Know Before You Go
Aerial performance is wild to watch! The strength and coordination that the performers have is impressive! If you’re unfamiliar with burlesque, it is a bit racy. This show is definitely not for kids. It is inspired by the art of burlesque, there may be some partial nudity in some of the routines. Of course, the spicy-ness makes it great for Valentine’s Day!
I’m loving that this event is raising funds for rescue animals. Fighting Chance Ranch & Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue here in Charlotte. Their mission is rescuing and rehabbing animals that have been abused, neglected, and mistreated. HUGE hot button for me. My face gets red just reading stories about people that are mean to animals. I’m in awe of all of those that work tirelessly to help these sweet babies.
My dogs Eddy and Kramer are both rescue dogs. Eddy had a particularly rough start as she was a feral dog. She was part of a litter that was rescued from a hoarding situation in Rockingham, N.C.. Eddy was so insanely shy and scared of everything when I first got her. The folks that rescued her worked so hard with her before she was adoptable. She now has that true ‘not scared of anything’ Jack Russell attitude!
In addition to helping dogs, the rescue also provides sanctuary care for a variety of farm animals and dogs with special medical needs that are not candidates for adoption. Amazing people!
If you’re interested in supporting Fighting Chance Ranch & Rescue, you can get tickets to this cool burlesque-inspired aerial show here. Tickets are only $20! Have a festive night out with some spicy fun while helping local animals!
