If You’re A Fan Of Flowers, ‘The Passion Pour’ Is For You
One of the most girly things about me is that I love flowers. For whatever reason, people are always surprised when I say that! LOL! One of my favorite things to do in spring/summer is to hit local farmer’s markets and buy myself fresh flowers. I love them so much that I have numerous flowers tattooed on my right arm. If you enjoy flowers, a local artist has opened up an amazingly cool business.
Local artist and designer Leslie Brooks began her journey making keepsakes when COVID hit. Like many people that were working with the public, her personal training business took a big hit. Gyms were closed, so she decided to turn her ‘lady-boss’ title into a ‘crafty mom’ working from home title. Lucky for us she did! Brooks began her business ‘The Passion Pour’ creating gorgeous flower keepsakes. Her floral preservation items are truly stunning.
Flowers are a part of so many different ceremonies and events in American culture. Not only are they a part of happy occasions like weddings and birthdays, but they’re also used in sad occasions such as funerals. The unfortunate thing about flowers is that they don’t live long. That’s where Brooks comes in! She uses her artistic abilities to create keepsakes using flowers.
I saw a post by Brooks on Facebook and knew I had to share her talents. With wedding season beginning next month, and Mother’s Day only a few months away, her amazing items are perfect!
Flowers Can Be Anything
Looking at ‘The Passion Pour’s website, you can have Brooks create something specifically for you or your loved ones. There are numerous keepsake items that you can choose from. I had no idea that flowers could be made into so many cool things! The floral bookends are so cool!
In addition to the numerous floral items, Brooks also designs keepsake jewelry. She has rings, pendants, and earrings, all handmade with flowers that you’d like made into something special and original. I gotta tell you, the items are stunning!
One of the things that got my attention about this business is that you can donate leftover event florals to help make others happy. Brooks crafts small arrangements to bring to people in hospice care, nursing homes, and to others in need of happiness in their life. I just LOVE this! In addition to donating flowers, you can also volunteer to help accept donated florals, process flowers, create arrangements (no experience necessary!) and deliver florals to our designated recipients. If you’re interested in donating floral arrangements or volunteering, find out more here.
If you’re a enjoy supporting local businesses l and are looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special, or for yourself, you’ve got to see ‘The Passion Pour’ website. Brooks is in Monroe, so you won’t have to travel far to pick up your handmade gems.
