Charlotte Wine & Food Festival In Ballantyne Saturday
If you’re looking for a festive weekend event the Ballantyne Wine & Food Festival here in Charlotte is for you! Drink Eat Relax Events is presenting the Festival this Saturday, April 20. You’ll be able to enjoy a wide variety of wines, beers, and spirits in addition to an array of gourmet bites from some of Charlotte’s finest chefs.
All the fun is happening at Ballantyne’s Backyard, 11611 N. Community House Road. All the action begins at noon and goes until 6 p.m. Local, national, and international wines, beers, and spirits will be available and there will be cooking demonstrations from numerous chefs.
Culinary experts offering cooking demonstrations include Matt Barry, pitmaster/executive chef of Midwood Smokehouse, Jennifer Brulé, a nationally published food writer and former chef/owner of Davidson Ice House; Mike Bobb, Executive Chef at The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Charlotte; Andarrio Johnson, chef/owner of Cuzzo’s Cuisine and William Williams, chef/owner of Seasoned Provisions.
Food trucks will also be on site for some tasty offerings. The participating trucks include 5th Sin Food Truck, And Lobster, Fahrenheit Charlotte, Oh My Soul On The Moo’ve, Sandwich Express, Shrimply Delicious and Tex-a-Lina BBQ. Donut I Love You, Hula Whip and NC Sweet Tea will also be onsite with sweet treats!
Live music is also happening with ‘Mallow Hill’ and ‘Thurston Howell’ playing on the main stage. My friends LOVE ‘Thurston Howell’ although I haven’t seen them live yet. This past weekend they played at Amos’ Southend, and lots of my friends went. They play classic ‘Yacht Rock’ songs. Make sure you check them out!

In my opinion, the VIP is the way to go! Grab some friends and make sure you don’t miss this event this Saturday!
Fun For A Good Cause
As I mentioned, I think the $89 VIP ticket is well worth the cost, but there’s another reason to buy a ticket to this event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation. This non-profit provides support and education for children and adults with mental or physical disabilities. While you’re having a great time, know that you’ll also be helping other. And that’s the most important thing we can all do!
