Carowinds Plans Adults Only Swim Up Bar Opening Soon
When I think swim up bar, I think high dollar all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. However, I don’t think about the Carolinas favorite amusement park. But, on the lookout soon for Carowinds Swim Up Bar.
According to AXIOS Charlotte, the adults only part of the theme park’s water park will open this summer, 2025. And, visitors, 21 and up, will be invited to enjoy Carolina Shore Club and the full service Carowinds swim up bar known as Paul Metto’s Dockside Bar. Oh, I see what they did there…’Paul Metto’
The story indicates the area will encompass nearly 30,000 square feet, with a more than 3500 square foot pool. Guests will enjoy the area in the comfort of 58 shaded chaese lounge chairs. And, in something that sounds very similar to Great Wolf Lodge, premium cabanas with TV, mini fridge and dedicated service will be available.
Of course, Carowinds swim up bar addition will also have recreation in the form of lawn games such as cornhole and more. The renderings available for viewing in the announcement release are really very nice and exciting. I can see accompanying your under 21 year olds to the park and allowing them to enjoy themselves elsewhere while you grab a drink in the pool or relax in the shade.
I remember a Saturday afternoon one fall when we had my son’s 10th birthday at Great Wolf Lodge in Concord. We supervised the kids from the comfort of our rented cabana and watched the football game du jour on our TV! It was a blast. We ordered some food and the kids joined us for a bite before jumping back into the fun. So, hey anytime there’s something for everyone, I’m in.
So, we’ll keep our antenna up to find a firm opening date for Carowinds Swim Up bar better known as Paul Metto’s Dockside Bar.
