More Dogs Are Being Named After Movie Characters
When was the last time you met a dog named Rover? Or Fido? I’ve never actually come across either name in all my years of socializing with the canine class.
The current trend in naming dogs is inspired by Hollywood. According to dog chew toy company Tasty Bone, nearly one in five puppies were named after movie characters in the last year. A lot of those names come from the Disney, DC, and Marvel film franchises.
Dog names from Thor, Avengers, Suicide Squad, Frozen, and The Lion King will continue to be popular in 2020. And then there’s the live action update of Lady and the Tramp opening in theaters on November 12th.
