Throwback Video Of The Week: Prince “Let’s Go Crazy”
Strange times we’re living in. It’s hard to know whether to watch the news, avoid the news, or just scream. The other day I heard Prince sing “Let’s Go Crazy” and thought that sounded about right. I was in the toilet paper aisle.
“Let’s Go Crazy” was the second single and second #1 hit from the landmark 1984 album Purple Rain. That was Prince’s first album to feature his band, The Revolution, by name.

The song topped three Billboard charts in 1984: Hot 100, Dance Club Songs, and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs. Following Prince’s death in 2016, “Let’s Go Crazy” re-charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 25.
Purple Rain is also the official soundtrack from the movie of the same name. The video for “Let’s Go Crazy” is comprised of clips from the film.
