Charlotte’s Goodwill Annual Bridal Pop-Up Is This Weekend

If you’re planning a wedding or know someone that is, this weekend is the weekend to score! Charlotte’s Goodwill annual bridal pop-up sale is back! If you need a wedding dress or bridesmaids’ gowns, you can save serious money.

After being canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19, the event is back this Saturday, March 5, at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus on Wilkinson Blvd., from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The dresses available are new and gently used, and there are bridal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and formal dresses.

According to The Charlotte Observer, bridal gowns will be priced at $99–$499, and all other dresses will be priced at $29-$149. I love that the money from the event will fund free job training and other career services for community members. If you’re interested in going, you can find out more info here.

    What To Expect: The North Carolina Whirligig Festival is an all-inclusive, two-day arts festival that showcases the arts of the region, including the NC Folk art – Whirligigs – created by local artist, Vollis Simpson. The Whirligigs are 20-50 feet in height and they incorporate highway and road signs, HVAC fans, bicycles, ceiling fans, various woods, steel rods, milkshake mixers, and many more such materials form the support and moving parts.
